General Summary
This position works under limited supervision supporting the Quality Control departments in Human Health Value Chain and is responsible for serving as the local systems coordinator with the internal Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and inventory management system (SAP) to manage production and QC data.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities (* = Essential Functions)
*Maintains LIMS master data (creating, updating, maintaining) in accordance with LIMS and QC procedures.
*Writes and performs User Acceptance Testing (UAT) qualifications pertaining to LIMS modifications and improvements.
*Maintains environmental monitoring program setup within LIMS.
*Troubleshoots customer facing documentation (CoA, CoC, Product Specification, Production Information).
*Coordinates K2 approval workflow for Master Data changes submitted for new and existing products in LIMS.
*Handles K2 workflow submitted through Master Data workflow and QC internal requests.
*Trains others effectively on LIMS and maintain training for LIMS SuperUsers in our training system.
*Communicates system updates, changes or issues to end-users.
Assists on third-party audits, as needed.
Assists production and QA/QC to ensure data is collected and recorded properly.
Builds reports from SAP and LIMS data using the Business Operations systems.
Integrates new QC equipment & assays with LIMS.
Works with global and local colleagues to ensure all data entered in systems are aligned.
Acts as liaison between local site and global LIMS network.
Label/ribbon inventory – troubleshoot SAP (Q status)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Proficient knowledge in SAP, LIMS and Business Operations software.
Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports to plan, coordinate and administer lab systems and processes.
Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple activities and requests.
Ability to work with a high level of independence and accountability.
Ability to troubleshoot and critically think through issues.
A working knowledge in Microsoft Office programs.
Possess high level knowledge of lab approval and testing process.
Ability to affect change in a team environment.
Ability effectively communicate with end-users of program.
These characteristics are normally acquired through a Bachelors Degree in a business field with at least two years of experience working in a lab environment.
Working Conditions
Working environment is generally favorable and in an office setting. Lighting, temperature and noise levels are adequate. Potencial remote work. Domestic & international travel is required as needed and up to 20% of the time.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk, hear, use hands to finger, handle or touch objects, keyboard and occasionally lift up to 10 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
