THE DEPARTMENT: Located in the College of Education and Allied Studies, Department of Teacher Education offers the Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and the Single Subject Teaching Credential in Art, Dance, English, History/Social Studies, Mathematics (all areas including Advanced), Music, Physical Education, Science (General and Integrated), Theatre, and Languages Other Than English (Hindi, French and Spanish). The Department offers four Master’s of Science (MS) degree in Education: Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Technology, Reading Instruction, and Early Childhood Education. DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
The candidate must possess the ability to lead the department and fulfill all duties of chairs (scheduling, budgeting, faculty evaluation, etc.) Candidate is expected to teach courses in the multiple subject, single subject, and/or masters programs. Candidate is expected to lead accreditation, liaise with the college, university, and system-wide community, and work with district partners and community at large. Please note that teaching assignments at California State University, East Bay include courses at the Hayward, Concord, and Online campuses.

RANK AND SALARY: Position is open rank, applicants who are currently tenured may receive tenure at CSUEB if requirements are met. Salary is dependent upon educational preparation and experience. Subject to budgetary authorization.
