Opportunity
Brunswick Group is seeking a Director with deep expertise in developing strategic digital and social media campaigns and will join the team in one of our six offices in Asia Pacific and support clients across the region. Directors are able to leverage their own specialized skills and backgrounds while operating in Brunswick’s generalist environment.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Client Contribution & Handling
- Develop and maintain strong and trusted relationships with senior client contacts to deliver strategic advice
- Deliver strategic advice to clients, drawing on specialist communications expertise and depth of professional advisory experience
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of the clients’ business and strategic communications issues
- Influentially engage with key stakeholders
- Drive large, complex account teams, providing strategic strategic direction and overall accountability
- Strong commercial acumen in managing all aspects of account finances, and propose ideas to improve efficiency, including but not limited to account profitability, fee negotiations and team resourcing
Business Development & Networking
- Proactively generate ideas to support new business opportunities, with the support of Partners
- Ability to apply deep knowledge of key sectors, specialist offers and geographical understanding to promote new business approaches and generate innovative ideas
- Drive pitch preparation and ability to put together and effectively drive pitch teams
- Identify new opportunities to deliver other Brunswick expertise to existing clients; actively pursue and secure extensions of client relationships
- Build and maintain strong internal and external networks in order to deliver valuable insight to clients and the Firm
Team Leadership & People Management
- Ensure the smooth running of teams by establishing clear roles, managing performance and ensure all key stakeholders and clients needs are covered by the team
- Actively and effectively manage account teams; dive day-to-day account activity
- Act as a Development Mentor who understands the importance of listening, coaching, and developing people; Ability to motivate, stretch, and challenge the team
- Demonstrate decisiveness and resilience during critical, high-stake moments and is an aspiring leader of the Firm
Communication skills
- Ability to write thoughtful, well-structured content; consider audience in style and tone of communication
- Express a point of view in a thoughtful manner; ability to analyse and distil complex information
- Exhibit and exercise discretion
- Explain digital tools and platforms to non-expert audiences in an engaging and accessible way
- Question and challenge in a constructive way; present unpopular ideas confidently
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- 15+ years of experience in digital communications, corporate communications experience is required, experience in a client handling role is preferred
- Experience in managing complex teams across multiple offices and regions
- Experience leverage and measuring efforts on social media platforms to achieve business objectives, including LinkedIn, Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram, WeChat, Sina Weibo, Tencent QQ, DouYin etc
- Experience with digital tools including monitoring / analysis systems e,g, Sprinklr, Brandwatch, Newswhip and Google Analytics
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail; client service-orientaion
- Ability to work in fast pace, client service environment
