High School Math Tutor

We are looking for tutors who can demonstrate considerable mastery and understanding of math subjects ranging from algebra to calculus. We strongly prefer candidates who can work year-round.

Job Details:

• 10 – 40 hours per week with flexible scheduling.
• Choose your preferred days from Monday through Saturday.
• On weekdays, lessons may be scheduled from 2:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
• On Saturday, lessons may be scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• In July and August, our summer classes are M-F from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 pm.
• Base Pay: $20 per hour. Merit-based raises available after a trial period. Outstanding candidates may start at a higher base pay.
• Teaching experience is preferred but is not a requirement for outstanding applicants.

Job Description:

You will work one-on-one with each student. Your weekly schedule will generally remain constant, and most of your students will have one lesson per week. Each lesson is 90 minutes. The content of the lessons can vary. Students are in middle school or high school. You may help your student complete homework assignments, prepare for upcoming tests, or review a difficult topic. Every student has different needs and different abilities. You should be flexible and willing to adjust your approach as needed. BLC is open Monday through Saturday, 2:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. You can choose the days and times that work best for you. We prefer to hire people who are willing to work through the summer and into the next school year.

Starting pay is $20 per hour. After a brief trial period, you will be eligible for regular automatic raises as well as performance-based raises.

The owners, Mr. and Mrs. Kim, are friendly and encouraging. They know every student and do their best to make every lesson as effective and helpful as possible.
