Placement Coordinator of Field Based Experiences & Instructor of Education
The Avila University School of
Education in the College of Arts & Sciences, guided by the mission of excellence in teaching and learning, and dedicated to the service
to the Dear Neighbor, is actively seeking a full-time Placement Coordinator to manage the comprehensive field placement process for
practicum students pursuing initial teacher certification. The coordinator also facilitates payments, accesses background checks, maintains
placement records, and collaborates on memorandums of understanding with districts. Beyond field-based responsibilities, the successful
candidate will assist in collecting and reporting assessment data for accreditation and program improvement, and also teach two courses per
semester, incorporating practicum supervision. This is an academic, 10-month, non-tenure track appointment, eligible for annual renewal
based on performance. The appointment will begin in August 2024.
