Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Operations, will be responsible for Developing production goals and schedules and distributing production tasks. Position will also manage all activities associated with planning, scheduling, and procurement, and controlling of materials from the raw to the finished state in a manner that achieves optimum quality, customer service, cost and utilization of facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Manages production planning activities to maximize the use of the organization’s resources and meet established production specifications and schedules.
* Responsible for monthly forecast and budget (revenues/gross margins).Demonstrates a commitment to achieve perfect quality and perfect delivery.
* Possesses strong product/technology/industry knowledge as well as good blend of technology and business acumen.
* Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
* Demonstrates solid background in manufacturing and manufacturing processes.
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawing and blueprints.
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, 6S, 6Sigma and other cost saving initiatives.
* Exhibits strong organization and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to address multiple priorities and deadlines…
* Effectively interfaces across organizational levels; strong aptitude for developing partnerships across functional areas.
* Demonstrated ability to lead, train, motivate and influence direct reports and cross-functional teams.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient with computerized manufacturing and business application software.
* Effective budget development, reporting and management.
* Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
* Related B.S. or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Aerospace Manufacturing or 10-15 years’ experience in high volume manufacturing facility.
* APICS/NAPM certification is preferred

* Manages and coordinates planning activities for the company.
* Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
* Plans, organizes and directs the raw material, components and finished goods scheduling activities.
* Responsible for master scheduling, Inventory control, and E & O
* Manages inventory activities to ensure customer service, efficient manufacturing operation and minimum dollar investment.
* Provides metrics and project status on a weekly basis; defines and tracks to key milestones.
* Identifies, escalates and ensures resolution of issues impacting successful execution of projects.
* Drives to remove technical, procedural and process-related obstacles.
* Provides management with insights and drives best practices within the company. Maintains an awareness of industry trends, business conditions and internal process and practices to ensure the success of the complex programs.
* Uses best-in-class project management techniques to achieve program goals. Builds, tracks and updates project schedules.
* Drives the creation and management of multiple cross-functional leadership teams and resource allocation.
* Seeks opportunities to implement lean manufacturing and other cost savings initiatives, including kanban replenishment systems as advantageous.
* Develops, directs and motivates a competent staff. Ensures open communication among team
members.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Ability to oversee, monitor and lead employees to ensure goals are met successfully.
