Job Description
Purpose

To slit master rolls, maximize throughput while maintaining a quality product with minimal waste.
Quality
Lebanon is committed to meeting or exceeding all customers’ expectations as it relates to Quality, Service, and Food Safety. The Lebanon facility utilizes Continuous Improvement to continually drive toward excellence in all facets of the business, namely Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost.
Duties
EHS
Follow all plant-wide food safety and department-wide EHS policies and rules. Support plant security procedures. Follow all mandated PPE requirements. Operate the equipment with consideration of the safety of everyone in mind. Assure that all safety devices (i.e. press enclosures, guards, E-stops, lockouts, etc.) are in place and functional. Report all incidents and/or unsafe conditions which may include: first aid, illness, spills, improper/incomplete procedures and property damage. Support EHS culture by active participation in workplace organization, operator preventative maintenance, and reducing workplace hazards. Understand all Do Not Touch Exceptions and how to perform tasks. Able to identify where all e-stops are located and how to re-set machine. Follow all Forklift Rules
Primary
Able to navigate BMS and SOC System to verify machine set up and materials required to slit an order. Operate both slitting and rewinding equipment in a safe manner. Assure all jobs are run in accordance with all written manufacturing specifications including manufacturing packing specs, customer specs, and standard operating procedures. Properly complete all paperwork including production reports, SOC reports, cleaning logs, QA reports, etc. Enter accurate data into SAP. Works to minimize job change-over, machine start-up, shut down, and clean-up time. Operate overhead hoist and pallet jack. Improve efficiencies with reduced returns & less waste. Communicate with press operator and Shift supervisor any quality issues that would arise. To facilitate and enforce all of the company policies and procedures as they are outlined and defined. Monitor product quality from press and slitting process. Follow all FSSC requirements to maintain food safety of the product. Complete any necessary paperwork and/or CI boards. All other duties as assigned by supervisor or management. Scheduled work hours and mandatory overtime as needed.
