Job Description
To assist and provide shipping, receiving, and inventory control service to the site’s operations to assure the timely arrival of finished goods to Customer locations and the receipt of raw materials into on-site operational systems.
Duties
EHS
Follow all plant-wide, department-wide environmental policy and safety rules. Support plant security procedures. Operate the equipment with consideration of the environment and the safety of everyone in mind. Assure that all environmental controls and safety devices (i.e. press enclosures, guards, E-stops, lockouts, etc.) are in place and functional. Report all incidents and/or unsafe conditions which may include: first aid, illness, spills, improper/incomplete procedures and property damage. Support EHS culture by active participation in workplace organization, operator preventative maintenance, and reducing workplace hazards. Understand all Do Not Touch Exceptions and how to perform tasks. Able to identify where all e-stops are located and how to re-set machine. Follow all Forklift Rules.
Primary
Generate the shipping and receiving documentation required for daily Inbound and Outbound shipments. This includes: Packing Lists, Bill of Ladings, ASN’s and any Customer specific documentation. Audits documentation for accuracy. Files all shipping documentation. Maintains and is accountable for the accuracy of inventory and shipments. Coordinate and secure LTL and TL carriers as needed following Amcor policy. Facilitate the loading and unloading of trucks, assisting as needed. Facilitate the daily billing of appropriate freight charges as needed. Tracing of shipments as required. Expediting of shipments as required, following Amcor policy. Be knowledgeable of DOT and Federal transportation regulations. Conduct receipt of purchased film, ink and Customer returns into inventory system. Assist other shipping / receiving personnel and cross train as needed to perform those jobs. Assists in conducting and reconciling cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy. Required to operate various forklift equipment in the course of the day.
