Are you ready to partner with Amazon’s cutting-edge business and engineering groups to identify areas of risk? Are you looking for a position that will leverage and grow your risk assessment and data analytics skills, expand your knowledge of global operations, supply chain, logistics, transportation, and technology at scale, and provide opportunities to work with some of the best minds in the industry to solve complex business and technology problems? Then this is the position for you!
We seek an experienced Internal Audit Manager to support our Consumer Audit team who applies broad operational knowledge and sound business judgment to execute audits across our diverse businesses and technical environments. While you may support audits in any of Amazon’s Consumer business areas, we are interested in your experience to help us raise the bar in how we audit and engage with the business in Consumer Operations. Consumer is one of the largest areas of Amazon’s business, and its Operations continue to scale and grow rapidly, and includes fulfillment centers, supply chain, logistics, transportation, and physical stores. This is a high visibility opportunity where you will gain valuable exposure to many areas within our business, and make important improvements that make a real difference. Our team is cross-functional and you will perform a wide range of operational and technical audits. You must be comfortable performing as a sole contributor and teammate.
As an Internal Audit Manager, you will lead the planning, scoping, execution, and reporting of audits based on identified risks related to various Amazon businesses. In this position you will dig deep into the details of your audits. You must be able to understand complex business processes and identify the full range of risks related to processes, regulatory compliance, organization, policy, and technology. You will interact with highly technical operations and software development engineers and business leaders at various levels to collect and communicate information. You will use your project management skills to lead a team and conduct your own audits from beginning to end, often managing multiple projects at once.
We don’t want someone who can just find risks. You should be able to translate risks into business issues. You will use your excellent writing skills to succinctly communicate complicated operational and technical issues in business terms. You must prioritize findings and recommendations in tune with our corporate strategy and regulations. You will prepare reports and make presentations to senior level management. You should be able to facilitate multiple stakeholders to agree on appropriate solutions and verify that risks are mitigated appropriately.
