PACS Assistant I AdventHealth Heartland

Work Hours/Shift:
PRN
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Copy radiographic studies to CD or film.
- Digitize radiographic studies.
- Import DICOM and non-DICOM images into PACS.
- Basic understanding and experience of computer applications and networking.
- Display problem solving techniques and appropriate solutions.
- Facilitates Physician, employee and customer support.
- Work with AGFA, Cerner and PowerScribe on problem solving and resolving issues.
- Facilitates communication between departments when appropriate.
- Receives, processes and routes incoming phone calls and faxes as appropriate.
- Rotates call coverage when necessary.
- Promotes positive attitude in the workplace; encourages others to do the same.
- Complies with regulations under the HIPAA law.
- Demonstrates knowledge of hospital policies related to emergencies.
- Has limited access to medications.
- Complies with The Joint Commission requirements related to their duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent
Job Summary:
The purpose of the PACS Assistant I is to provide support to the PACS Administrator and support the digital environment of the diagnostic imaging department.
