RN Cardiac Rehab Position Summary
Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Position renders individualized, age specific and direct nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs. Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals. Observes safety guidelines and safe work practices.
Special skills
Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with team members required. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional periods of average pressure. Excellent customer service skills. Must have basic computer skills.
Minimum education: Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school.
Preferred Education: BSN
Minimal experience: Three to six months in outpatient cardiac rehab clinic setting.
Preferred experience: Prefer 1 year of telemetry experience in acute care setting but will consider new graduates. Able to monitor EKG and vital signs, knowledge of basic conditioning and strengthening exercises. Basic knowledge of Phase I/II Cardiac Rehab guidelines.
Required Certs/Licensure: License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona. BLS and ACLS certifications.
