Job Overview
Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager or other appropriate management staff, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of maintenance employees in the installation, repair and preventive maintenance of equipment used throughout the plant, and facility. Will also perform all maintenance duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Role & Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring proper execution of scheduled maintenance work.
Supervises the day to day activities of maintenance mechanics and specialists.
Adhere to LOTO and all common safety practices or rules including the wearing of protective equipment as required.
Uses CMMS to complete and maintain records of work orders.
Performs preventative maintenance and repair of all plant and building equipment.
Function as a lead level mechanic and perform difficult troubleshooting and repairs.
Mentor lower level employees and provide training when needed.
Assists mechanics in maintaining a high level of productivity in the plant.
Responsible for following food safety, and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP’s, safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc.
Other similar duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting and minimum 5 years experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing facility.
Eager to learn and continuously improve.
High school diploma or equivalent. Technical coursework or certifications and continuing education encouraged.
Strong understanding of and aptitude with all tools and equipment used in the occupation.
Ability to read and interpret schematics: mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic
Browser-based computer software experience.
Ability to lift and carry at least 50lbs.
Ability to work on your feet for hours at a time, and in hot environments.
Willingness to work all shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
