The Assistant Vice President for Human Resources serves as a trusted advisor working closely with University leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive vision and strategy for Human Resources with a focus on attracting and retaining a diverse, highly engaged and effective workforce that supports the University’s Lasallian Catholic mission and university strategic plan. The role involves building Saint Mary’s employment brand as a best place to work, and develops and supports long-range human resource planning integrated into academic, financial, operational, and capital plans that are unique to higher education. Specific areas of oversight include leading functional HR experts in the areas of talent acquisition and management, compensation and benefit programs, employee relations, new hire orientation, onboarding, performance management, faculty and staff retention, workforce planning and development, compliance, and HR service delivery. This position can be located on either the Minneapolis or Winona Campus.
