Administrative Assistant
Department: Administration
Reports to: Vice President
Classification: 1 (FTE), Exempt, Full-time, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am-5:00 pm Monday through Friday with some evenings and weekends. Eligible for up to 40% telecommuting. Local travel required.
Salary: $67,000 (commensurate with education and experience)
Scope Of Work
The Administrative Assistant provides professional support to the executive leadership of the Urban League of Portland. The Administrative Assistant must be creative and enjoy working within an environment that is mission-driven, results-driven and community oriented. This role provides complex and diversified clerical and office support that requires advanced administrative skills and knowledge. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Administrative Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.
