JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Marine Construction Sales Representative, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, both working/closing the existing pipeline, and generating new client bases. This includes cultivating strong relationships with potential and existing clients. Your role will be pivotal in driving revenue growth and expanding our client base.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Generation: Proactively identify and pursue new leads, projects, and business opportunities within the marine construction sector
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively engaging with potential customers to understand their needs and requirements (follow-up, ratings)
Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and meet business objectives.
Project Collaboration: Collaborate with our marine construction project team to ensure a smooth transition from sales to project execution, ensuring clients needs are met throughout the process.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to make informed business decisions and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
Proposal Development: Help manage the proposal pipeline: prepare and present proposals, quotes, and bids to potential clients, addressing their unique requirements and offering competitive solutions.
Networking: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, conferences, and networking opportunities to establish a strong presence and expand our professional network.
Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, activity reports, and client databases.
Customer Feedback: Gather feedback from clients to continuously improve our services and maintain customer satisfaction.
Administrative: Perform administrative and other duties as directed
Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent
•Proven track record in sales, preferably within the marine construction or related industries.
•Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively present solutions and alternatives.
•Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships, and providing outstanding customer service and follow-through
•Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
•Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing market dynamics.
•Active, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel to meet with clients and attend industry events as required.
•Ability to pass a drug test and comply with a drug-free workplace policy
•Ability to pass a background check
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Associates degree or higher in Sales, Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred
•In-depth knowledge of marine construction products, services, and project requirements
•Familiarity with GIS mapping software
•Strongly preferred: Bilingual (English/Spanish)
