Summary of Position
The YSU Department of Teacher Education and Leadership Studies is seeking a candidate for a Lecturer to teach Science Education program courses and other education courses, as needed. The successful candidate will be expected to (1) teach undergraduate courses offered in the Teacher Education program, (2) serve as program coordinator for AYA/MCE programs, (3) engage in departmental service, and (4) program development. The candidate should have an ability and willingness to develop, implement, and coordinate clinical experiences; and develop and teach online courses and/or programs. Provides mentorship for courses in the field.
Position Information
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday, including some evenings, and the possibility of some weekend days.
Qualifications and Competencies
Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: License in Integrated Science.
Minimum Qualifications: At least a master’s degree in the science education field. Teaching license in Integrated Science. Three years or more of teaching experience in K-12 schools.
Preferred Qualifications: Doctoral degree in education. Experience teaching science education at the college level.
