Com New Vehicle Inventory Manager Position Summary The New Car Inventory Manager maintains new vehicle inventory for retail as well as Fleet & Commercial Sales based on customer and market trends/needs. This position maintains an orderly lot with accurate prices, merchandising, and stickers. In conjunction with marketing, they will maintain the inventory and pricing on the website. They will assist Sales Managers in upholding the objectives for the department and accomplish them through planning, organizing, controlling, and measuring the performance of salespeople.
The New Car Inventory Manager is responsible for nurturing and cultivating a positive culture and work environment that aligns with the mission and values of the organization. This position assures customers’ needs are being met and that sales processes are being adhered to.

Duties and Major
Responsibilities Maintains inventory levels by purchasing and allocating appropriately from manufacturer based on customer/market trends and maintains an orderly front lot and back lot with standing knowledge of vehicle locations.
Oversees car PDI’s for check-in/safety/detail upon arrival to lot.
Works with marketing to maintain website daily including a picture of lot vehicles;
Assists in advertising campaigns and other promotions.
Keeps abreast of ongoing business to better assist our customers in a timely fashion; asks how they came intothe store whether it be by internet, phone call, or walk in.
Establishes a program which ensures that Sales Managers are kept informed of all new inventory.
Establishes and enforces product-knowledge standards.
Appraises incoming used vehicles following established standards for appraising trades.
Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect vehicle sales (e.G., ensure that Buyer’s Guide stickers are affixed to the window of every used vehicle).Assists Sales Managers in directing the activities of all department employees.
Oversees the efforts of salespeople to enhance the image and customer satisfaction ratings of the dealership;
Ensure that dealership policies and procedures are understood and followed;
Helps salespeople close deals when necessary.
Monitors and maintains the team/company financial performance vs. budget.
Education High school degree or equivalent, Associates or Bachelor’s in Business or related field preferred.
Experience5 plus years’ previous automotive sales experience.
5 plus years’ supervisory experience preferred.
Work Hours Regular work hours are 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Employee hours vary and are dependent on business needs. The position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Saturday, with evening and weekends as needed to satisfy the requirements of the position. Employee hours vary and are dependent on business needs.

Wages – Salary Exempt $60-$100K-DOEPM
