Responsible for developing and implementing brand and regional social media strategies, planning, and measurement. Ensures strategic and creative excellence in WFM brand and regional social media channels. Manages how brand ambassadors tell the WFM story in their channels. Engages with customers and the community through on-line channels and social media.

Social and Influencer Manager

As the Social Media and Influencer Manager at Whole Foods Market, you will be responsible for day-to-day organic social channel and influencer marketing operations. You will collaborate closely with the Senior Social Media Manager and Senior Influencer Marketing Manager and will play an important role in the team’s connection to our community and influencer partners. You will be a platform and community subject matter expert, owning calendar management, publishing, some aspects of community management and content creation, as well as analytics.

Responsibilities

• Daily management of channel operations using SMMS for publishing and community management
• Manage content management system with social content plans and released assets for publishing
• Support content creation, working closely with social, influencer, and creative team members
• Curate user-generated content and trending topics; devise strategies for fostering brand advocacy to generate more social word-of-mouth
• Coordinate with social care team to monitor and surface opportunities or trends in direct and indirect social conversation
• Leverage influencer tools to help team identify, manage and report on efforts
• Collaborate with team to refine and evolve social and influencer measurement framework and learning agenda
• Measure, analyze and report on all social media activity on a weekly, monthly and ad hoc basis
• Internally merchandise reports containing performance results, trends over time and actionable insights, as well as the impact of optimizations
• Stay on the cutting edge of industry trends, prominent cultural conversations, new features/platforms and best practices to strengthen optimization recommendations and identify proactive opportunities for the brand to engage in
• Assist in managing and monitoring Team Member social advocacy

Requirements

• 2+ year relevant experience in social media at a retail corporation or agency
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Contemporary understanding of social media channels and influencer landscape, specifications best practices, including, but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tiktok and Pinterest and objectives of driving engagement and brand advocacy
• Ability to learn and master SMMS, intelligence, content management and reporting tools, like Khoros, Curalate, CreatorIQ and Opal. Proficiency in Opal is a plus.
• First-hand community management experience
• Innate curiosity with strong analytical and math skills
• Capable and driven to quickly learn new things and continually expand skill set
• Proactive problem-solving skills: ability to anticipate obstacles and quickly generate alternate solutions/ideas, changing course as needed
• Excellent personal organization skills with extraordinary attention to detail
• Competent in personal time management and self-managing deadlines
• Thoughtful communicator with polished verbal and written skills
• Exemplary work ethic and disciplined thinking are a must
