WellSpan Health, a sophisticated medical community in southcentral PA, is seeking an additional emergency medicine physician for Ephrata Community Hospital (ECH). The current team of ten physicians and seven APPs pride themselves in fulfilling their mission to provide excellent emergency care to over 35,000 patients per year.
About the Position
- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine is required
- Secure employment with the 2,000 + provider, WellSpan Medical Group
- On-site Medical Director
- Newly renovated and efficient 25-bed ED
- Focus on patient safety, clinical quality, and patient experience
- Two physicians and two APPs cover busiest hours
- 12 hours shifts with equal rotation
- Interesting mix of patients including many members of the Plain Community
- ECH is a 122-bed facility featuring a PCI Program
- Collegial hospitalist group handles admissions 24/7
- Unconditional support from hospital administration
- Inpatient Psychiatry, quick imaging/lab turnaround & 24-hr. anesthesia
- WellSpan is a fully integrated EPIC system
