Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Credit Risk Officer who will be part of a transformation team that collaborates to build and maintain Wells Fargo’s risk management program and provide oversight, including challenges to and independent assessment of, the frontline’s execution of its risk management responsibilities.

As the company’s second line of defense, Corporate Risk – or Independent Risk Management (IRM) – we provide independent oversight of the risk-taking activities that are an inherent part of banking.
Our transformation team is part of a larger team that is making sure that the data and tools within our credit processes are focused on helping consumers stay financially educated to help them make informed credit choices. Our team independently oversees the management of credit risk exposures (including monitoring and reporting on aggregate credit exposures across groups, legal entities, geographies, and jurisdictions) and the quality of credit risk management practices across the company across the entire lifespan of a loan, form application, to pay off, to default. Corporate Risk roles depend on a variety of skills, including data analysis and synthesis, root cause analysis, change management, process management & execution, risk governance, risk strategy, risk identification & assessment, risk prevention, controls & mitigation, risk monitoring, reporting & escalation, risk systems & technology.
Credit Risk leaders like you develop, maintain, and ensure adherence to companywide credit risk frameworks, policies, and procedures that are aligned with the Board-approved risk appetite. We work with other credit teams and business leaders in the front line so the right leader will be a person who is a proven partner.
