As the Waldorf Astoria New York emerges from a multi-year renovation and reimagination, they are looking for a culture driven Director of Human Resources to lead the re-opening. The Art Deco masterpiece, occupying an entire city block of midtown Manhattan, is at the epicenter of the city’s cultural, commercial, social, and political life. This landmark is currently undergoing a complete restoration that encompasses the historic public and event spaces, 375 guest rooms and suites, and 375 contemporary residences above the legendary hotel.
The ideal candidate will be focused on labor relations, team building, and developing a staff dedicated to the luxury guest experience. 3-5 years of director level experience, union management, and the ability to work with people at all levels round out the Director of Human Resources of this iconic property.
What will I be doing?
The Director of Human Resources will provide continuous leadership in creating and delivering exceptional team member experiences while ensuring the workplace serves the broader community as an employer of choice. The Director of Human Resources will be directly responsible for contributing to the achievement of superior business results while contributing to outstanding luxury guest service, positive team member engagement and recognition, talent development with emphasis on building diverse, high-performing teams and leading innovative HR Operations strategies. Salary Range: $210,000 – $230,000
