Experience and Education
- Minimum of to years experience in a hospital or multi-hospital system supply chain management, with a strong background in a clinical setting
- Minimum of year experience in management
- Bachelors Degree preferred, additional experience in lieu of degree will be considered
- Experience with the UT Southwestern Logistics department strongly preferred
Job Duties
- Utilization of the asset and bed management systems effectively for tracking patients, transport staff, patient transfers, room turn over, EVS cleaning scheduled and times, etc
- Assist in the daily coordination of workflow between nursing and support services (room cleaning, equipment cleaning / deployment, telemetry monitoring equipment / cables, oxygen, wheelchairs, etc)
- Demonstrate consistent improvements in performance metrics, providing daily, weekly, and monthly reports to facilitate daily operations and identify improvement opportunities
- Coordinate with laboratory and departments for tracking and delivery of all specimens, supplies, equipment, etc
- Coordinate with Logistics Coordinator -assets for patient transfers, discharges, and admissions for room set up and equipment distribution
Included but not limited to telemetry and telemetry cables, oxygen equipment, wheelchairs, etc
- Coordinate with laboratory and departments for tracking and delivery of all specimens
- Assist the logistics manager with data for a monthly reconciliation with metrics recalled via the asset management system
- Evaluation of assets and equipment to assist in developing, monitoring, and maintaining PAR level standards for items needed for transport equipment
- Assures patients / specimens / supplies / equipment arrive at correct location consistently achieving correlated performance metrics
- Assures availability of effectively trained transportation team members as necessary to accomplish performance objectives
