Useppa Island Club is a private, members-only Island in the Pine Island Sound in Southwest Florida. The Island is beautiful and consists of 124 privately owned houses over .99 of a mile.
We are hiring an Experienced Food and Beverage Manager. This is not an entry-level position. The expectation is that you have managed restaurants in the past and have a well rounded and working knowledge of P&L, Total Restaurant Awareness and how to build, train and retain teams. You can expect to work 5-6 days a week (usually 5 with 2 days off). Our restaurant services Lunch and Dinner and is closed at 9pm daily. We serve hot breakfast to guests on Saturday and Sunday (8-10). We have a solid mix of permanent live-on staff and seasonal live-on staff with a few commuters who work at our restaurant each day. This position works parallel with our Executive Chef and reports to the Resident Manager of Useppa Island Club.
Compensation includes a salary of $55,000 (negotiable, depending on experience), full benefits after 90 days, meals while on duty, a $300 food allowance, a 2 bedroom 1.5 bath trailer with all utilities included (water, washer/dryer/full kitchen/wifi…) for a $300/month paycheck deductible “lease.”
I am looking for a leader. A manager who can lead from the front, pull up their sleeves and get in the trenches with the team. An individual who has the ability to coach and inspire. A person who has a “can-do” attitude and has a solution oriented mentality. This position is not for everyone. It is an absolutely gorgeous location but it will require a lot of your time, especially November 1-June 1.
