Assistant Designer – Collaborations

- Supports team to streamline processes.

Design Responsibilities
- Category focus: will have a hand in all home categories (tabletop, gift, furniture, lighting, décor, textiles)
- Own briefing for Designer
- Execute product amendments
- Support designers in the creation of design documents (assortment sheets, sketch packs, finalization packs, etc.)
- Execute elevated and thoughtful designs through innovation in new formats/shapes/products, unique print/pattern layouts, new techniques and materials.
- Responsible for print outs and visual mocks
- Prepare clear, thorough design brief packages (including technical drawings, specs, color, trim, finish, material, and technique reference)
- Meet all deadlines, adhering to the calendar
- Product mocks for sketch, proto, finalization.
- Develop packaging
- Develop strong partnerships with cross functional teams such as buying and production
- Research
- New artists
- new formats, attributes, materials, trends.
- Sample Management (organization and shipping to collaborators
Education
Educational background in Fine Art, Print/Surface Design, Fashion, or similar discipline.
