POSITION SUMMARY:
Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Teacher Education, Department of Education
JOB DUTIES:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
· Minimum of three years full-time U.S. PK4-grade 12 school-related teaching experience
· Currently licensed, or eligible for licensure in Wisconsin as a teacher, per Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) requirements, as indicated in application materials.
· Commitment to effectively work with colleagues, students, and school partners from different cultural backgrounds, including those associated with race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, socioeconomic status, age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, and other aspects of human diversity.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
· Experience working with pre-service or in-service teachers and supporting their efforts to teach for equity and justice.
· Experience collaborating with PK-12 schools for field placements, clinical experiences, and/or residencies.
· Experience or potential to develop and sustain a scholarship agenda related to inclusive excellence/cultural competency for educators or other related topics.
· Ability for service to a program, department, university, and community.
· Facility in conflict resolution and civil discourse practices for advancing justice.
· Experience teaching in hybrid or online formats in higher education.
SALARY & BENEFITS:
Salary range for this position is: $51,000 – $57,000 annually. Specific benefit information can be found here. A snapshot of benefits offered for this position include:
