Purpose
To provide professional administrative support for the Learning Enhancement and Academic Progress (LEAP) Center’s goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
Perform and prioritize simple to advanced administrative support duties for faculty. Duties include requisition of classroom course material per request, formatting and editing curricula and CV’s (APA format), filing (hardcopy & digital), crafting and mailing preceptor letters, tracking forms, scanning, administrative and data collection and compilation.
Communicates directly with internal (faculty, students, and staff)/external customers (vendors). Provides key faculty support in maintaining all faculty workrooms, schedules annual preventative maintenance and cleaning of workroom equipment, restocking supplies in all classrooms, study rooms, and designated student areas weekly.
Provides student support by managing the nursing ID badge system including requirements, maintenance, and supplies. Schedules faculty, staff, and student ID photos in collaboration with Student Services and the Office of Administration. Oversee student uniform and merchandise sales and deposits, replenishment, and inventory daily.
Supports LEAP faculty and student support initiatives, programs, department agendas, meeting minutes, and scheduling. Capable of independent work, creative with an eye for departmental productivity and efficiency. Back-up for all LEAP student/faculty support activities. Provides daily coverage for lobby desk breaks.
Required Qualifications
High school graduation or GED, some higher education or college degree preferred. Three years of experience with office administrative clerical procedures and functions. Professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills, time management, and initiative. Recognizes and seeks clarification when needed with the ability to work as part of a team. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Publisher), Adobe forms, ability to work with PC or Mac, excellent keyboard skills, attention to detail, and comfortable learning new technology. Applicant should be able to maintain the growth of a smooth, positive, and productive working environment within the organization.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree in business administration, ability to format documents using APA, AMA, or MLA, familiarity with the Canvas Learning Management System, and Qualtrics Survey Software is preferred but not required.This entry-level position is suited for a person who is reliable and accurate, a productive self-starter, intelligent, and resourceful. We’d like someone who enjoys physical work, staying organized and improving documentation.
Salary Range
$35,000 – $42,000

Work week hours are Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
