Job Purpose:
The University of Scranton Department of
Education invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor in Education beginning in August 2023. The candidate will demonstrate
expertise and a research agenda in teacher education, elementary education, or foundations of education.
The candidate will teach
courses, in accordance with the candidate’s areas of expertise and departmental needs, such as student teaching seminar, elementary
education mathematics, elementary education reading/literacy, and foundations of education.
Essential Duties:
– Teaching- Research/Scholarship- Service- Other responsibilities as listed in the faculty contract and handbook
Additional Skills Required:
Minimum Education Requirements:
Applicants should have
a Ph.D or Ed.D in Curriculum and Instruction, Elementary Education, Foundations of Education, or other related fields in teacher education.
Exceptional ABDs will be given consideration.
