The Operations Specialist will be responsible for the development of the organizational
clinical schedule for the Department of Emergency Medicine. This position is
responsible for the development of faculty clinical schedules for approximately
74 faculty members and Advanced Practioner Providers (APPs), in 5 operational
areas within two separate facilities. The Operational Specialist will serve as
liaison between faculty, Advanced Practioner Providers, and Emergency Medicine
staff. This person must be organized, detail oriented; work well as a team
member and independently. The successful candidate will need to have excellent
communication and interpersonal skills, be creative and work effectively with
multiple constituencies. Understanding
complex scheduling is necessary for the successful applicant to succeed. Knowledge of policies and procedures in
working with clinical scheduling is also imperative.
In addition the position will assist with the
coordination of the staff human resources administrative procedures and
documentation process, in accordance with all applicable federal and state
regulation and university policy.
High school diploma or GED; at least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
-Experience with a multi-faceted scheduling
systems, such as Shift Admin.
-Experience with AMION
-Experience working with clinical faculty
schedules
-Excellent communication skills
-Demonstrated experience in working in detailed
software systems.
-Experience with manipulating complex multi-tab
Excel spreadsheets
-Experience with basic statistics
-Experience with coordinating HR administrative
functions
