Internal Medicine Division: Geriatrics
Job Title: Geriatrics Faculty and Geriatric Fellowship Director
The University of New Mexico, Health Sciences Center, Department of Internal Medicine, seeks faculty members to join the Sub-division of Geriatrics. This position is open rank and open track. Salary and rank will commensurate with experience and education. Minimum Qualifications: 1) must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine; 2) must be board certified/board eligible in Geriatrics by date of hire; and 3) must be eligible to work in US. Preferred Qualifications: 1) Experience/skills in providing efficient general geriatric medical patient care including Prevention, Nutrition/Wellness, Life-Style Medicine, and chronic and complex disease management, long term care; 2) Interest/experience in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows; 3) Interest/Experience in developing outpatient quality projects in Geriatrics.; 4) Interest/Experience in caring for underserved populations; 5) For Fellowship Director Candidates: Training/experience in developing and/or directing innovative and financially sustainable Geriatric Fellowship programs; 6) A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities. These positions may be subject to a criminal records screening in accordance with New Mexico law.
