OVERVIEW
This position is responsible for securing significant philanthropic support for the University of Minnesota Medical School and healthcare system, with particular emphasis on surgical fundraising initiatives across our surgical service lines and Department of Surgery, such as cardiothoracic and orthopedic surgery, organ transplantation, otolaryngology, and the Schulze Diabetes Institute. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a strong pipeline of philanthropic support for training, research, and clinical care, along with priority capital needs as identified across the assigned areas of the medical school and healthcare system. Philanthropic focus is on developing a major gift pipeline primarily with grateful patients, individuals, foundations, corporations, and businesses.
