The Center for Global Health and Social Responsibility (CGHSR) is seeking a senior-level communications specialist to develop and implement a strategic and creative approach to communications for the Center and its initiatives, and to expand the reach, influence and impact of our work. The CGHSR Global Women’s Health portfolio will be a key focus area for this position. An ideal candidate would have experience working in global health, public health, international relations, international development, international/humanitarian organizations, or a similar role and/or be familiar with the field, in addition to skills in communications, writing, and storytelling. This position will work with key partners to develop, shape and implement the various methods in which CGHSR connects with communities within and beyond the U, and with all of our stakeholders.
The position is 100% remote. The candidate does not need to reside in Minnesota. There is a possibility of international travel. Cover letter and writing samples required. Salary range $60k-$75k depending on qualifications. The position is open until filled. Interviews will begin in February.

AGHP is a global consortium of partners with significant experience in global health work coming together to emphasize the importance of appropriate ethical, legal and regulatory standards in short-term global health work.

The Center for Global Health & Social Responsibility (CGHSR) Communication Specialist position is part of a center team consisting of 10 professional staff and faculty advisors. CGHSR is part of the University of Minnesota Office of Academic Clinical Affairs (OACA). Together with schools and colleges across the University of Minnesota, we facilitate and lead activities in education, research, and capacity building in order to fulfill our mission to advance health worldwide through collaborative partnerships, sustainable programs, and academic excellence.
