University of Maryland Medical System Looking for Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist Services Team at Harford County, MD Full Time

Hospitalist Services Team is seeking an FT acute care nurse practitioner (NP), work 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a). Weekday, weekend, shift work, holiday and on-call may be required.  Program has clearly defined clinical pathways. Successful candidate will have successfully completed an approved accredited program as acute care, nurse practitioner with appropriate certification exams.  National certification in the area specialty and licensed by the Maryland Board of Nursing.  NPI number, DEA and CDS required.  BLS required.  ACLS required.

Previous experience as NP preferred, but not required. Registered nurse experience in an acute care setting highly preferred.  

Responsibilities include:

• Floor calls,
• Admissions with orders and dictations.
• Back-up support is ICU APC, and nocturnist hospitalist.

Nurse Practitioner will be a hospital employee with competitive salary and benefits package. Night shift has significant night differential in addition to base salary.
