The Midtown Campus at the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for Vascular Surgery, full-time to join a multi-disciplinary team. This position is designed primarily to support in-patient and ambulatory vascular services for admissions, transfers, and discharges with vascular surgery patients for coordination and continuity of care.

Job specifics:

• Performs assessment, obtains history and physical examinations, establishes preliminary diagnosis, orders or performs diagnostic tests as deemed appropriate in accordance with established guidelines for inpatient and ambulatory patients.
• Provides treatment, follow-up, consultation, and health education for patients.
• Develops a plan of care. Reviews care plan with patient and responds to all questions or concerns.
• Manages illness or problems related to the Vascular surgery patient within the scope of practice
• Other duties as assigned by Advanced Practice Manager or Physician
