Required Related Experience: National reputation in leading educational improvement efforts toward Deeper Learning models
Demonstrated experience leading school-based professional development
Successful experience working in a university center or interdisciplinary institute
Demonstrated experience in curriculum design, assessment, and continuous improvement at the higher education level
Demonstrated experience teaching online courses
Successful experience partnering with a state department of education.

The Center for Next Generation Leadership at the University of Kentucky College of Education seeks a new Executive Director. The Center is amongst the primary outreach mechanisms of the College of Education and works closely with Kentucky schools throughout the Commonwealth to upgrade public education systems to reimagine the learner experience of every student.
Annually the Center’s work impacts hundreds of Kentucky educators through professional development and hundreds of Kentucky students through the Next Gen Scholars Dual Credit program. The Center recently completed an Impact Report which articulates the mission, history, major initiatives, and revenue sustainability. The Center has 6 full-time staff and several part-time staff that will report to the Executive Director position. The Center is financially self-sustaining through a variety of mechanisms and the Executive Director position will work to maintain and expand the financial health of the Center.
The Center exists within the College of Education and reports to the College Dean’s office through the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Programs and Partnerships. The Clinical professor position, depending on the candidate, will also teach courses in the Department of Educational Leadership Studies as a Clinical Faculty member (rank to be determined on qualifications). Courses may include those in the Graduate Certificates in Instructional Coaching and Leadership for Deeper Learning, as well as courses throughout the school principal program.
