Job Description
The Education and Training Specialist II is responsible for providing education and training about funded projects that focus on pain management alternatives to opioids and emergency medical services for children. The programs focus on providing education and training to a wide-range of populations, such as community members, healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers in the emergency department, inpatient, clinic environments, and within the community. This position will develop and deliver educational sessions, workshops, and trainings; evaluate effectiveness; develop databases; develop presentations; and assist with team meetings. The Education and Training Specialist II will report to the Associate Director of Clinical Research.
Expected Salary
$55,000 to $70,000
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a health sciences field such as nursing, paramedicine, public health, social work, case management, integrative medicine or psychology and four years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Or
Master’s degree preferred. Professional experience in patient education, pain management, emergency medicine, or integrative medicine. Clinical experience as a nurse, counselor, paramedic, pharmacy technician or other clinical health profession. Data and project management experience.

Usual work hours are Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm with one evening shift per week and occasional weekend or evening events. There will be travel for educational sessions, workshops, and trainings, and occasional on call duties.
