Position Highlights | The College of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture (CAPLA) is seeking an Academic Advisor IV who plays a pivotal role in student success and development. This position encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, from academic advising and registration assistance to data analysis and collaboration with faculty on curriculum design. The academic advisor will guide students through the successful completion of their degree program, career development, course planning, and other departmental events. This position will support the development and implementation of strategies, systems, and processes that support the achievement of desired academic and career outcomes, including the overall student experience. The academic advisor will mentor academic advisor Ills, liaise with other University colleges, manage financial reporting responsibilities, optimize onboarding procedures, and manage shared degree initiatives beyond CAPLA’s immediate oversight. CAPLA is an international leader in the development of sustainable design and planning solutions for arid regions of the world. CAPLA’s setting in Tucson offers inspiration and guidance to faculty and students working directly with and in response to the diverse ecology and culture of the Sonoran Desert while developing processes for analysis and design that are portable to other arid and semi-arid locales.
