Job Requirements
We are seeking a dedicated Transportation and Logistics Specialist (Mid-Level) for our Flight Hangar location at the San Antonio, TX Airport.
This position is a hybrid work type and will be based at USAA’s Flight Hangar at 10500 John Cape Road, San Antonio, Texas 78216. Hybrid roles help employees gain the best of both worlds – collaborating in-person in the office and working from home when needed to achieve focused results.
This individual contributor develops flight schedules and coordinates all scheduling activities associated with the corporate aircraft fleet. Plans and coordinates corporate aircraft travel and support for USAA executives and employees. Prepares administrative reports and provides administrative and regulatory support for the Executive Director Workplace and Employee Services and Director of Flight Operations. Maintains a high level of confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
What you’ll do:
Builds corporate flight schedules for USAA aircraft.
Coordinates schedules, hotel reservations and ground transportation.
Responds to questions from USAA personnel regarding corporate aircraft scheduling.
Prepares all FAA required documentation and passenger manifests.
Contacts FBOs (Fixed Based Operators) for advance notice of arrival, hotel recommendations, caterers, etc.
Coordinates requirements for visas, passports, and other personal information required by passengers and flight crews for international travel.
Ensures security of this information in accordance with USAA information security policies and guidelines.
Maintains familiarity with Internal Revenue Service regulations concerning imputed income; prepares and submits quarterly reports.
Maintains files required by IRS, Federal Aviation Administration and USAA, and maintains confidentiality of documents.
Ensures daily currency of flight operations support and currency of flight calendar.
Ensures support database accuracy, to include Fixed Base Operator and crew travel information.
Ensures the most recent software version is operating, stays current with changes in software and its’ operating procedures.
Serve as a 3rd crew member (flight attendant) on a limited basis when operational constraints require supplemental staffing.
What you’ll have:
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
2 or more years of related experience in aircraft scheduling and/or dispatching.
Proficient knowledge of the function/discipline and demonstrated application of knowledge, skills and abilities towards reservation software (i/e. rental cars/hotel/air).
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

What we offer:
Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $59,070.00 – $106,340.00.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
