This position is a technical position at PST (PS Technology), a wholly owned subsidiary of Union Pacific Railroad. The successful candidate will develop, and support applications associated with Union Pacific’s Crew Management suite of software. This position allows for handling all aspects of software development. This is a unique position because the candidate will have the opportunity to directly impact processes that help run Union Pacific’s most critical resource, our train, engine, and yard employees! PST is proud to support a hybrid work environment coupling an in-office experience with opportunities for remote work as projects allow up to 50%.
You will play a technical role throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). You will develop and maintain applications and processes. You will meet with business analysts and customer focused specialists to better understand requirements to accurately diagnose problems and design solutions.
As a part of the team, you will be responsible for addressing alerts and tickets for system issues. Once the problem is solved, you will detail and communicate actions taken to resolve the issues.
You will collaborate with technical team members to address inefficiencies in services and batch processes and help resolve technical debt.
This position requires no travel.
