The Senior Director of Practices is a critical member of our leadership team and key contributor to our growth strategy as we empower companies to be more data-driven in their decision-making through Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics & Visualization and Information Management. The Senior Director is responsible for providing strategic direction, driving profitable growth, ensuring delivery excellence, cultivating culture, and building a high performing team of Practice Directors in our Data Services consulting practices. They have a strategic mindset, possess a business-orientation with a focus on optimizing profitability, and an obsession with client and consultant success. The ideal candidate is an experienced, analytics consulting professional, and a systems thinker, powerful motivator, creative problem solver, and visionary. The Senior Director of Practices is an ambassador for the firm and embodiment of Unify values. The Senior Director of Practices reports to the Vice President.

Consulting Services Strategy

• Shape the strategy and roadmap for building Unify’s Data Services consulting capabilities
• Develop and implement a talent strategy grounded in emerging market demands/trends and solution offerings mapped to supply gaps
• Build and foster a high-performing, diverse practice leadership team
• Partner with Senior Directors of Solutions to determine which offerings Unify should pursue, based on our differentiation, delivery readiness, and experience

Leader & Consultant Success

• Directly lead Practice Directors, by modeling the individualized connection, development, and leadership support that they will extend to managers and consultants
• Oversee the definition, implementation, and continuous improvement of practice protocols and standards – set and raise the bar
• Ensure protocols and standards for consultant success are delivered consistently
• Define and implement strategies to improve consultant performance, engagement, career development, success, and retention

Practice Operations

• Set the strategy for supply/demand management to maintain and grow profitability
• Scale key practice operational processes (talent alignment, renewals, bench management) and drive continuous improvement
• Set Talent Acquisition priorities (skills, background, etc.) and inspire recruits to join the practice

Community of Practice

• Foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, curiosity, quality, and radical accountability
• Prioritize investments in practice GTM and thought leadership, ensuring the stories and solutions reflect our existing and emerging capabilities
• Assess capability development needs, oversee strategy for learning and development across practices to facilitate talent diversification and advancement

Engagement Leadership & Delivery Quality

• Apply subject matter expertise as a client advisor and consulting leader sponsor (as appropriate) for engagements across our core capabilities
• Lead from the front through excellent client delivery as a billable leader (25-50% utilized)
• Set capability expectations with Solution leadership
• Farm and advance intel among leaders and consultants for account growth and expansion
• Serve as ultimate point of escalation and ownership for individual performance issues

• Collaborative and motivational with your team of consultants; willing to “roll up your sleeves” and drive work efforts when required or to demonstrate quality bar to team members.
• Action-oriented & data driven; make decisions using logic and analysis to drive outcomes.
• Disciplined in approach and follow through on projects with a strong desire to see things through to completion.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to lead, partner and work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment, despite ambiguity and no formal authority
• Demonstrated subject matter expertise in Unify’s Technology Consulting Services, specifically in our Data Services capabilities.
• Impeccable business writing and presentation skills
• Excellent listening skills and ability to communicate with executives effectively
• Ability to conduct business with transparency and integrity at all times
• Experience with waterfall, Agile, and hybrid project management methodologies
• 10+ years of experience in management consulting with a focus on providing business value through data services projects/engagements.
• 10+ years leading concurrent projects and managing senior client relationships
• Extensive background managing high-quality deliverables.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred)

$210,000 – $250,000 a year
