The Director of Labor Relations and HR Compliance will be a key member of the UG2 HR team, providing strategic direction and support to the integrated facility services operations in multiple business segments across the country. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and executing effective labor relations programs and ensuring HR compliance across diverse and complex organizations.
In this role, the Director will have a unique opportunity to leverage their expertise in labor relations and HR compliance to help UG2 deliver best-in-class integrated facility services to its clients. The role requires a collaborative and strategic thinker, who can build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, and effectively navigate complex organizational challenges.
*Job Responsibilities:*
· Develop and implement employee relations plans to promote a positive work environment through HR professionals and people leaders.
· Provide guidance, coaching, and direction to address employee disputes, investigations, and maintain a positive work environment; assess performance, provide feedback, and actively develop talent.
· Build strong partnerships with management and union leadership through the resolution of employee grievances, contract negotiation, and contract interpretation.
· Partner with Legal and subject matter experts to ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and resolve labor relations issues.
· Monitor HR service delivery trends and address any issues.
· Serve as subject matter expert on all aspects of the HR Operating Model and policies.
· Manage Project Labor Agreement commitments through direct collaboration with contractors and unions in advance of construction as well as in the field.
· Lead various external workforce initiatives identified to meet union and DEI workforce goals.
· Track all local workforce requirements for projects and coordinate with corporate/field leadership and unions to ensure adequate labor relations.
· Ensure accurate and timely communication of workforce and training needs and requirements.
· Support identifying solutions to resolve differing views among operations, unions, and other stakeholders regarding roles, responsibilities, and DEI initiatives.
· Prepare presentations and reports regarding construction workforce implementation.
· Collaborate with union leadership to maintain positive and productive relationships, including regular meetings and negotiations of collective bargaining agreements.
· Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and standards, including National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) and Labor Management Relations Act (LMRA).
· Foster a culture of collaboration and mutual respect between management and organized labor.
· Facilitate the resolution of labor disputes and represent the company in arbitration or other legal proceedings, as necessary.

· Provide oversight, direction, and support companywide.
*Requirements (Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Education and/or Experience):*
· Experience in an HR Business Partner or Employee & Labor Relations leadership role with a union workforce.
· Previous experience working for service providers.
· Proven experience serving as a coach to senior leaders on HR matters.
· Ability to drive initiatives across a matrixed environment and present data-driven solutions to senior level leaders.
· Project management and analytical skills.
· Deep knowledge of HR fundamentals (talent acquisition, total rewards, performance management, employee relations.
· Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10+ years of relevant experience OR in absence of a degree, 14+ years of relevant experience is required.
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

· Must be willing to travel up to 20%.
· Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
