As a Security Content Researcher, you will be responsible for working with other Trustwave and SpiderLabs researchers in order to gather security telemetry and raw research to create reports and other content for topical trends, work with the Web, PR, and Media outreach teams to coordinate content, and help with marketing and Social Networking endeavors.

Responsibilities:

• Create and write research papers, blog posts, and threat reports from raw content
• Edit technical content such as research papers, trend reports, blog posts covering a variety of information security disciplines
• Help inexperienced writers flesh out their content
• Coordinate content between teams
• Work with PR, Marketing and Web teams to coordinate content needs and publication timelines

Requirements:

• Broad base and well-rounded background in information security
• Excellent writing, proofing and editing skills
• Understand and distill content in a way that it can be communicated with non-technical teams and media
• Experience contributing to or editing research and trend reports

Additional Plus Competencies:

• Familiarity with Responsible Disclosure programs
• Familiarity with Python or other scripting language
• Experience talking to media outlets (online, print, streaming, etc.)

Education:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college or university degree is a plus.
