Trinity Health Looking for Psychiatry – Collaborative Care Model Opportunity at Ann Arbor, Michigan Full Time

IHA, the aligned medical group for Trinity Health in SE Michigan, has an excellent part-time (0.2 – 0.8 FTE) employment opportunity for an Adult Psychiatry physician to join the Outpatient Adult Behavioral Services team and work 100% remotely.

The psychiatrist will join our well-established Behavioral Health Collaborative Care Program. Our consulting psychiatrists support the primary care medical providers and our behavioral health specialists who treat patients with behavioral health problems directly in the primary care office. The Consulting Psychiatrist meets weekly with the behavioral health care specialist to provide treatment suggestions for patients who are new to the program or not improving as expected.

The Consulting Psychiatrist neither sees patients directly nor prescribes medications. The Consulting Psychiatrist increases access to psychiatric expertise by helping direct treatment for patients in primary care. They educate the primary care providers on effective use of medications and improve their diagnostic abilities.
