The Town of Vail Colorado is seeking enthusiastic full-time, year-round bus drivers to join the transportation department. Drivers will operate a public transportation bus requiring a commercial driver’s license. They are responsible for pick-ups, transports, and drop-offs of passengers on a prescribed route, on time and in accordance with local, state and federal standards. They must provide guests with schedule/route information and the most effective alternatives to reach their desired destinations. They will also assist disabled guests on and off the bus, practice safe defensive driving techniques, and report all accidents, damage, or incidents of vandalism. Drivers may be assigned in bus wash as needed.
The position is exposed to engine noise and fumes, winter weather and elements when assisting passengers. Most of shift is spent sitting while driving, with occasional stooping, standing, kneeling and lifting.
