The Workshop LA Looking for Pre-Production/Pattern Room Assistant at West Los Angeles, California Full Time

A premium denim and sportswear company is in search of a full time pre-production/pattern room assistant. Duties are outlined below. This role is on-site in West LA.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Receive/send fit samples and measure as needed

• Prepare garments for fitting and create fit list with scanned specs

• Create thread pages to be released to sewing contractors (approx. 2 weeks prior to cutting).

• Attend production fittings

• Record fit notes during production fittings in BC to maintain records and history and update specs in BC 

• Send TOP approvals via e-mail to production/QC team and/or other feedback

• Help update and maintain construction sketch detail pages and construction manual

• Prepare/receive/send garment to wash – find standard – trim loose thread if needed

• Measure blankets & enter info in files

•  Pass garment to finishing with correct trim info and to production team

• follow up of garments and priorities in cutting/sewing/washing

• Help send sewing instructions, and fit samples comments for Mexico garments as needed

• Back up and support for Junior tech designer

• Other duties assigned as necessary.

• Strong knowledge of garment constructions (denim)

EXPERIENCE

• AA degree in fashion

• 1-2 year min experience in manufacturing
