The Workshop LA Looking for Patternmaker at Los Angeles, California Full Time

A full package apparel manufacturer that focuses on the streetwear market is looking for a full time Tukka Patternmaker to add to their team. Duties include:

Roles/Responsibilities:

·        Work with Tukatech pattern making system

·        Create patterns for a wide range of product categories

·        Creating and updating pattern cards

·        Adjusting patterns to accommodate for shrinkage

·         Filling out spec sheets, update grade rules, set up tech packs

·        Lead fittings, advise pattern corrections to help address fit issues, spec garments, create and update sketches in Adobe Illustrator

·        Discuss with the development team about garment construction and sewing instructions 

·        Help out with other department/functions as needed; also help troubleshoot potential production issues

·        Create patterns as well as draft from scratch following a sketch and spec sheet

·        Advise more production friendly methods of construction

·        Troubleshoot potential production issues and work with production department to address them in a timely manner

·        Assume responsibility of all pattern functions: 1st pattern, pattern corrections, shrinkages, grading and marker making

·        Approve production parkers with production team
