Job Description
The University of Findlay invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position to teach primarily reading in the licensure program in the College of Education (COE). The COE is seeking a candidate with experience working as a teacher in PK-12 schools. The COE prepares caring, inclusive, innovative, and highly qualified professionals. The college offers undergraduate and post-baccalaureate licensure in Primary, Middle Childhood, Intervention Specialist, AYA and Multi-Age areas as well as several endorsements. The licensure programs have a strong field experience component and the college is accredited through CAEP. The College has a Master of Arts in Education, principal and superintendent licensure, an EdD program, and an EdD in School Psychology.
Successful candidates will have a terminal degree, previous PK-12 teaching and/or administrative experience; previous university teaching, including online teaching experience; with a preference toward candidates with CAEP experience and experience implementing the Science of Reading. The applicant should be willing to chair and serve on doctoral committees. This position will be at the rank of Assistant Professor. Candidates must be committed to student-centered education as well as professional development and academic scholarship.
