Job Description
The University of Findlay invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position to teach in the educational administration program in the College of Education (COE). The COE is seeking a candidate with experience working as an administrator in PK-12 schools, preferably with superintendent experience. The COE prepares caring, inclusive, innovative, and highly qualified professionals. The college offers undergraduate and post-baccalaureate licensure in Primary, Middle Childhood, Intervention Specialist, AYA and Multi-Age areas as well as several endorsements. The licensure programs have a strong field experience component and the college is accredited through CAEP. The College has a Master of Arts in Education, principal and superintendent licensure, an EdD program, and an EdD in School Psychology.
Successful candidates will have a terminal degree, previous PK-12 teaching and administrative experience; previous university teaching preferred, including online teaching experience; with a preference toward candidates with CAEP experience. The applicant should be willing to serve as the Program Director for the Educational Administration Program and assist in marketing and recruitment efforts for the principal, superintendent, and treasurer programs. The applicant should be willing to chair and serve on doctoral committees. This position will be at the rank of Assistant Professor. Candidates must be committed to student-centered education as well as professional development and academic scholarship.
