Event and Group Sales Manager:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Event and Group Sales Manager to join our team at a prestigious five-star luxury golf resort, spa, and dude ranch in Eastern Oregon. As the Event and Group Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue through the successful planning and execution of events and group bookings. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences and cultivating long-term relationships with clients and partners.
Responsibilities:
– Actively prospect, identify, and secure new corporate and social event opportunities, including weddings, conferences, retreats, and other special occasions.
– Manage the entire event sales process from initial contact to contract negotiation, event planning, and post-event follow-up.
– Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless coordination and execution of events, including set-up, catering, audiovisual needs, and other logistical requirements.
– Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry professionals to generate referrals and repeat business.
– Conduct site visits, presentations, and tours for potential clients to showcase the resort’s facilities and services.
– Prepare and deliver proposals, contracts, and sales agreements in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
– Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
– Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional strategies and campaigns to attract event bookings.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
– Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in event sales or group sales, preferably in a luxury resort or hospitality setting.
– Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders.
– Excellent negotiation and contract management abilities.
– Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
– Proficient in MS Office and sales management software.
– Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule.
– Knowledge of the local market and industry trends is a plus.
