The North America Agriculture Program (“NA Ag”) is a highly-matrixed team that works closely with TNC state business units (BUs) and whole system teams to scale up the adoption of regenerative agriculture practices and programs across the U.S. NA Ag works with private industry and government agencies with regenerative agriculture strategies to reach farmers and increase the use of conservation practices that improve freshwater and marine ecosystems, avoid or mitigate GHG emissions, enhance habitat, and improve soil health.
What We Can Achieve Together
The North American Agriculture Program (“NA Ag”) Executive Assistant will be responsible for providing direct administrative support primarily to the NA Ag Program Director and, subject to available time, support to three other directors within the Business Unit as well. This position will report to the Program Project Manager for NA Ag but will not provide administrative support to that individual. The Executive Assistant will perform a variety of high-level administrative tasks, including domestic and international travel arrangements, meeting and special events logistics, calendar management, drafting correspondence, processing expenses and expense reports, and other duties as assigned. They must have advanced knowledge of the systems and resources utilized by the program to provide support and coordinate communications related to the resources. They will maintain, track, analyze, and report on key data for senior management. The Executive Assistant will provide guidance in satisfying requirements based on extensive knowledge of policies and procedures. They will adapt processes and implement recommended practices to improve effectiveness. They will provide recommendations and targeted training. They will communicate on behalf of their supervisor and Director(s) will have substantial contact with stakeholders, including members of the board of directors, all levels of staff, donors, volunteers, vendors, and business relations. They will take on additional duties to enhance the work of the team. Such duties may include, but are not limited to, a more significant role in training, developing documentation, and/or enhancing the systems and tools used by the team. This position requires some travel (approximately 2 – 4 trips per year) and working long and flexible hours as needed. The work environment involves only infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements and minor physical exertion and/or strain.

SALARY INFORMATION
The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $52,000 – $82,500 for annual base salary. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate’s location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
