Our manufacturing client is currently seeking a Maintenance Manager for their plant in Southern Nevada. They are seeking a strong maintenance leader with some PLC troubleshooting skills and a background in high speed manufacturing.
Relocation assistance is being offered for this role.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Embodies commitment for a safe workplace, and acts as a role model on safety leadership, activities, and communication. Responsible for supporting and maintaining safety programs and policies, and educating associates about safety.
- Establish, oversee, and audit effective preventative maintenance program.
- Develop, implement and audit systems, designed to assure adequate inventory of maintenance and supply items.
- Oversee major repairs/upgrades to ensure completion in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Coordinate vendor services, specifically: Grounds, maintenance, trash removal, hazardous waste removal, equipment repair/installation, and janitorial.
- Maintain accurate records and file reports as required by EPA, OSHA, SWOAPCA, etc.
- Establish and audit security systems and procedures.
- Develop and adhere to operating budgets.
- Plan and coordinate maintenance project responsibilities as assigned.
- Ensure quality workmanship in all maintenance/capital projects.
- Oversee all personnel; know and conduct machine operations to include Lock-out/tag out program.
- Issue corrective action notifications for program areas failing to meet the quality / delivery expectations.
- Consistently evaluating / documenting personnel performance as needed.
- Oversee housekeeping of entire area.
- Supervise, oversee, and direct all maintenance employees in their daily performance of job duties as it pertains to their productivity, quality of product manufactured, housekeeping and safety. Responsible for managing all department employees, including but not limited to: approve or deny vacation requests, time card verification, monitor attendance and taken disciplinary action if necessary, accident investigation and assigning daily work assignments. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Responsible for training assignments of new associates, evaluate progress during 90-day probationary period, recommends discharge or retention.
- Conduct/Issue all counseling, written warnings, suspensions, and HR approved discharges for warranted violations of plant rules.
- Ensure that all hours worked by associates are accurate in the attendance system and verify all time cards of all hourly associates working on their shift.
- In the event of an injury, responsible for preparing all accidents reports by thoroughly investigating the accident.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field, and 5+ years of successful experience in an industrial maintenance manufacturing environment or a combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years’ successful supervisory experience.
- Extensive knowledge with electrical, hydraulic and injection molding machines.
- Strong PLC programming skills
